Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Tom Pahl was born and raised in the Midwest and Texas. He grew up listening to a wide variety of music from soul, blues and country, to classical and opera. Tom Pahl’s grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins are very talented singers. His uncle, Gordon Payne, was Waylon Jennings’ right hand man and performed live and on his albums as a guitarist, singer, and harmonica player. Tom’s family’s Southern roots influenced him greatly.
At a young age Tom was drawn to music. He hid his musical talent from his family until he was about fifteen when he shocked them with a beautiful rendition of “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. Since that time he has been singing in musicals, choirs, private gigs, and other live shows. Tom can sing a large assortment of many different kinds of songs, but his shows focus mainly on a variety of country music.
